Today Essex Technical High School experienced a pedestrian traffic accident that involved a student. Thankfully, the student’s injuries were not life-threatening and were relatively minor.

The administrative and counseling team responded to the emergency appropriately and ensured the student received the medical attention required. Additionally, the team supported those students immediately affected by the emergency. Essex Technical High has protocols in place to address situations such as these and we were able to proceed with the regular school day.

As a school, we have utilized our counseling staff to provide support to any student identified to us. However, if your son or daughter share any concerns with you this evening, please be sure to reach out to your student’s counselor.
